On the eve of Halloween, regardless of the country, the customer finds it “scary” when...

  • They are blamed for the vendor’s non-performance.
  • They are given directives instead of options.
  • There is a “surprise” slippage on a delivery date.
  • The supplier assumes what matters to them, their business needs and their priorities.
  • The supplier forgets who the customer is.

The customer finds it a “treat” when...

  • The vendor shows commitment and passion to the customer’s business needs and success.
  • They are delivered what promised when promised.
  • The supplier takes away their concerns and worries by being pro-active and focusing on what can be done.
  • They are kept in the loop regarding progress.
  • Their business is appreciated!

Today’s leaders understand that current thoughts and actions impact a future which is either “scary” or a “treat.”

Question for Reflection

What is the most pragmatic thing you can do today to be less “scary” and a “treat” to the customer?

The choice is ALWAYS yours!

 Now that truly is scary J...we create our reality with every choice.
